Eco Initiatives

MainStay has researched criteria for reducing waste, conserving energy and water, and improving air and water quality with its commitment to environmental management of meetings and events.

MainStay will include "Eco" contractual initiates in the negotiation process with facilities and suppliers if requested by client partner. Recommendations will be individualized and will have the dual goal of increasing engagement in environmentally sound practices without adding expense to client budgets.

MainStay will assist in the identification and implementation of environmentally responsible practices including but not limited to

* providing opportunities for recycling
* using renewable resources when possible
* choosing responsible ways for disposal of waste
* conserving non-renewable resources
* optimizing use of seasonal or local foods in menu planning
* donating excess items to the community
arranging for low-polluting, energy-efficient transportation choices
* improving air and water quality.
